Three bay types, and the one question that decides which you need
Almost every wrong reservation on this desk is wrong for the same reason. Somebody booked on price and the car did not fit. Length decides this, not preference.
The operators along this corridor run three kinds of bay. You pick one on the reservation form, or you tell us what you drive and we pick for you.

Daily rates are floors for a booking made ahead, not totals. Everything that can sit on top of them is named on the rates page, and the quote you accept carries the whole figure.
The question that settles it
How long is the car, and does anything stick out of it.
An ordinary bay along this corridor is marked for a vehicle up to about eighteen feet with nothing on the roof and nothing on the back. Past that, an oversized bay is not an upgrade, it is a requirement, and turning up in something too long for the marked space is how a reservation becomes an argument at the gate.

What each type actually is
Open surface bay
Asphalt, painted lines, sky. The lowest daily rate of the three and the closest to the shuttle stand at most of the lots we book with, because the surface lot is usually the one nearest the office.
Two weeks of salt air and grit will leave a film on the paint. That is the trade and it is worth naming.
Covered deck bay
One level up, under a roof, out of the weather and out of the sun. Costs more. Worth it for a long stay, for a dark car, or if you have once spent twenty minutes at a car wash on the way home from a flight.
Height limits apply on every deck along this corridor, and they are lower than people expect. If anything is on your roof, this is not your bay.
Oversized bay
Wider and longer, usually at the far end of the surface lot, and always the thinnest supply. There are a fixed number of these along the whole corridor and they go first in peak weeks.
Book this one ahead. A week is comfortable, the same day is a telephone call and an honest answer.
What none of the three includes
- Any promise about security. Fencing, lighting, cameras and an attendant are the operator's arrangement and are described on the home page as such.
- Any cover for the car. The operator is responsible for the ground and whatever their own terms say. This desk carries no insurance on your vehicle and says so rather than leaving it vague.
- A particular numbered space. You reserve a bay of a type rather than one specific slot, unless an operator offers that and the quote says so.
- Valet handling. Nobody moves your car with your keys in any reservation this desk takes.

Describe the vehicle on the reservation form and leave the bay field set to ask for advice. What comes back is a free quote for whichever type suits it, with a sentence explaining the choice, and any correction happens before a bay is held rather than after.
